Reflecting in silence in the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque
Your initial stop is the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, which you can already see from the three main bridges connecting the island to the mainland. This strategic geographical location of the Mosque is a symbolic expression of the emotional connection the Mosque has in the hearts of all UAE citizens particularly because it is the burial place of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. This architectural masterpiece was created to reflect the Islamic teachings of peace, tolerance, and diversity. During your visit, you can admire true Islamic art with the white marble domes, elaborate chandeliers, and intricate designs for which Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is famous for.
Feeling abundant in the Magnificent Emirates Palace
Your next stop is the Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental, a world famous luxury five-star hotel. Its magnificent white and gold dome-topped structure reflects the sparkling blue waters of the Arabian Gulf. Your steward will then take you to your last stop of your full day trip – the colourful, loud and exciting Date Market. The Abu Dhabi Date Market or the Mina Date Market is a wholesale market for dates, fruits and vegetables near the fish market at Mina Zayed Port. Everything available is cheaper compared to the stores and the malls of the city. Do not let the low price discourage you though, Mina market is home to the best quality dates of the world—superior to what the posh city stores sell.
