Safety Q&As

At Swiss Arabenture, your safety is our priority! As a Swiss run company, we implement safety procedures and checks the same way we handle them in Switzerland. Our car fleet is not only cleaned and disinfected daily, but also inspected daily. We only use top of the range cars. Our drivers and tour guides are picked with our safety and customer service quality principles in mind. They all have been trained in their respective field, and we only have legal drivers holding a desert driving permit issued by the government of Dubai/RTA for our desert safaris.

The United Arab Emirates has been ranked the second safest country in the world by the World Economic Forum (WEF), and won the highest spot in the Gulf region. Even so, like in any other place in the world, safety precautions are still recommended. Since it is a Muslim country, religious sensitiveness should be taken into consideration.

Desert Safari Q&As

The food being served at the Desert Camp depends on your choice for either the standard buffet or the VIP dinner where the food range may be larger with a superior food quality. Generally, we will serve differently prepared BBQ meat options such a chicken, lamb, and beef together with fresh salads and different vegetable dishes. Further, there will be a variety of rice, noodles, pasta and breads. You will also enjoy a luxurious dessert buffet with fresh fruits and many different Arabic and international sweets. Please notify us of any dietary restrictions or special requests, as we are always happy to accommodate you.

Only soft drinks as well as tea and coffee are included in the package.

Alcohol consumption in the United Arab Emirates is only permitted in certain designated areas. Like hotels and bars, Desert Camps are allowed to serve alcohol for dinner. However, this is not included in the tour package and needs to be paid separately. Our guests are still expected to behave properly when under the influence of alcohol.

No, our tour package includes the Henna tattoos.

To book children between the ages 2 – 4 years or under 135cm on the desert safari tour, a private vehicle must be booked and details on infants should be included in the booking information. A child seat needs to be booked separately. If the child is below 2 years of age, we would recommend to not do the full dune bashing and go for a smoother desert drive instead.

Of course! We are well equipped and can accommodate guests in wheelchair for dune bashing and the desert camp.

Emirati Culture Q&As

Photographing government buildings and military installations should be avoided. Further, it is considered offensive to photo Muslim women, however, it depends upon the person. The safest and most courteous approach is to ask permission and if they refuse, do not get offended.

The different Emirates have varying degrees of tolerance to clothing styles. In Dubai, the dress code is rather liberal compared to other Emirates, where it is advisable to tone down the dress code to something more modest. The best option is to remain covered from shoulder to at least below the knees. Make sure to wear something comfortable for your Desert Safari and Mountain Tours.
